Congratulations Amanda & Will!

Posted in Wedding on July 1st, 2009

Despite all the rain we have been having here in New Jersey, we did not need to be prepared for it on Amanda and Will’s wedding day. We were prepared for it and did experience a quick sun shower, but it did not make us miss any opportunities.

Amanda and Will’s wedding was a perfect wedding for me. Beautiful weather, a great couple (as well as their family and friends), plenty of time for photographs (a gap of 3-4 hours after the ceremony) and The Colonial Inn of Norwood, NJ all added to a great day! Choosing my favorite below was very hard since there are so many favorites of mine.

Last week I headed to North Bergen to do some portraits of newborn Ali. Not only did I get some great photographs of him and his parents, but some wonderful photographs of his beautiful little sister , Julia.

A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to work with Kathie and Mike for their wedding. Kathie recently came to me not only for some dog portraits, but also to help her with some photographs for her new company, Paperkat Design. It was great working with her and taking photographs of her gorgeous work! Congrats and wish you and your company the best sucess!

Stepping up to 1st grade

Posted in Personal on June 24th, 2009

Today, Lilla had her kindergarten graduation…or as they call it ‘Stepping Up Ceremony’. It was filled with fun songs, a bunch of cute kids and some emotional moments for parents. Yes, we all cannot believe our little baby girl, born under 5 pounds, is a beautiful, smart and happy little 6 year old who is now a first grader. Congrats Lilla!

The Kay Family

Heading down to Hoboken is always fun to shoot as it has way too many areas to photograph. Add to that a beautiful couple with a precious 6 month old girl and I get the easiest session for making memorable portraits! Also, since Marissa loves photographs and art, I worked a little more on the photos for the blog post to give them a nice vintage feel!

Angelica & Mark’s engagement session

Posted in Engagement on June 18th, 2009

For Mark and Angelica’s engagement session, we met up at Verona Park. Despite all the rain we had last week, we were lucky to get a a break in the weather during the morning. And since the park is so big, all the 5K runners did not bother us at all, aside from making me feel out of shape!

If you wondering what is different with the blog, BIGGER PHOTOGRAPHS! I have been wanting to increase the size of the blog photos for quite a while now. I finally got around to doing it. I think since I have started this blog over 3 years ago, the photo size is now double what it was! Enjoy!

Running around with Riley and Bosco!

Posted in Portraits on June 17th, 2009

I recently headed to Janine’s house to photograph her with her two chocolate labs, Riley and Bosco. To say they gave Janine and myself a workout is being nice! But Janine was able to keep up with them more easily than me and in the end, we tired them out!

M+M Monday XXXIV - UP

Posted in Movies, Uncategorized on June 15th, 2009

Since we have had plenty of rain, we needed to do something with our kids to get them out of the house for a bit. We have all been wanting to see UP in 3D ever since it came out. It did not disappoint us at all!

As with the previous 3D movie we saw, Bolt, the 3D is just amazing! It is really unbelievable how far an animated movie has come. And with the 3D, it truely is a fun viewing experience. The story was very touching. Yes, you can hear alot of people crying and blowing their noses, mostly grownups. Kids will love all the fun characters, jokes and action. SQUIRREL! Us parents will as well, but it is the beginning and ending that will really resonate with adults and married couples.
