Digital Enhancements

There are many pros, and some cons, for using digital camera equipment.

I photograph weddings to provide my clients with memories as they happened. My photographs are usually done with minimal digital enhancements. Until now!

I will still mainly provide photographs that reflect my clients, the environment and moments as they were. I am starting to enhance some photographs for the proofs and albums. I do a select few that give you a small glimpse into what I envision.

I wanted to share with you today an example. In taking a normal photograph, I can enhance the scenery and mood. These digital enhancements provide unique photographs that I feel will bring my wedding photography to another level. But like any technique, this can be overdone. So I keep them to a minimum.

I really like this technique. Similarly, I like filtering one color, like someone holding red roses and the rest of the photo dropped to B/W or sepia. I’ve done some of this myself and it makes the subject stand out.

This is a really beautiful shot how it stands, but with the digital enhancement it gave it a really soft and lovely feel as well. As always you create wonderful art with your photographs! Looking forward to working with you on Mike and mine’s wedding day!
