M+M Monday XL – Muse’s ‘The Resistance’

I’ve become a huge fan of MUSE over the past 2 years! They are a band that blends a lot of styles of music and really knows how to rock. I have yet had the fortune to see them live…hopefully this week! But I’ve heard live songs, seen a live concert on DVD and read they are amazing in concert.

The recently came out with a new album and 11 songs is not enough for MUSE fans! I heard two songs prior to the release and was very excited. The album, as well as each song, is a journey to me. They mix classical with rock, change tempo’s and rythem’s often and really now how to right a hard riff. ‘Unnatural Selection’ is a great song that rocks and I hope to see that on Guitar Hero/Rock Band in the future. Another fave of mine, ‘United States of Eurasia’, really shows how diverse musically MUSE is. Truely a must by for MUSE fans or anyone that likes rock music with added bonuses!
