On the Surface – A new personal project

A goal of mine for 2010 was to photograph more. I started Alive for 365 which definitely has fueled me to get out more. But another way has been shooting film and using different camera’s. I set out in April to just walk around the town where my studio is. No set plan but to shoot color film with a Hasselblad. Where it would take me, I had no idea. But after 2 times out, I could start to see a premise come out in the photos. This is where the title ‘On the Surface’ comes from. Although all of the photos are of the exterior of homes (or on the street), I think they have an initial view of what the homeowners look like, live like or their personalities.
