Even more so, it gives me some personal gratification that my photography is among some of the best wedding photography in New Jersey.

When I photographed Jen and Brad’s wedding last August, I knew it was special. A wonderful couple, great location, unique details and great families all blended perfectly together on their wedding day. But what I didn’t know was how interesting the story behind how they met and fell in love was. I’m glad The Knot featured their story and my photographs.

This week, my contributing photograph was “Listening”. Similiar to last weeks “Conversation”, I love that all this interpretation of what is happening in the photograph is left up to you, the viewer. Is the man making dinner plans with his wife? Or is he receiving bad news? The possibilities are endless.

Evenings in spring are a perfect time for a family walk around the neighborhood. On a recent family walk, I brought along a camera to capture some of the spring time colorful beauty.

Lately, I have been pushing myself creatively by shooting some film. The film is only a small part of the creativity equation. For me, the camera pushes my creativity to see my subject and compose differently. I have been using a Hasselblad 500 that a great friend/mentor has let me borrow. This camera is a square from as opposed to the more common 35mm rectangular in my more used digital SLR. Here is an old scan from a while back with the Hasselblad and the popular Tri-X film.
