I’m glad to say that Scott Photography has plenty of framing options to meet your needs. From small, simple frames, all the way up to custom, elegent looking ones. We have more than 75 different frame selections with over 100 mat combinations. The possibilities are endless! The smallest frame size holds an 8×10 and goes up.

Here is some general pricing information:
Frame only – $75 to $275
Frame and Double Mat – $100 to $325
Frame with a designer mat upgrade – $130 to $400
Portrait series – $150 to $400

Wallet and Brag Book Albums

Now that the wedding season is starting to slow down, I’ll have time to catch up on new products that I want to offer to my clients.

First, I am upgrading my mini wallet album. I will not be offering the wallet sized album in black with 10 photos. But for the same price ($75), you will be getting a 3×3 leather album with 20 photos. And it comes in a variety of colors. These are perfect to carry in your purse or as gifts to your family and friends.

I am now offering a brag book to show off your wedding photos. This is a 4×6 bound album with up to 75 photos. The photos will come with a sloppy border. Covers will include your names and also comes in a variety of colors. This costs only $250.

I’ve been working with a graphic designer (Cherese of Honour of your presence) for quite some time now. She came up with the concept of ‘looking deeper’. Basically, she said that my photos have a deeper meaning than what is on the surface. I was happy with this and a few design ideas and let her run with it.

Although we had alot of the materials done a few weeks ago, the final piece was just completed. My custom proof box will be given to all clients going forward as of Sept. 1st.

Digital Enhancements

There are many pros, and some cons, for using digital camera equipment.

I photograph weddings to provide my clients with memories as they happened. My photographs are usually done with minimal digital enhancements. Until now!

I will still mainly provide photographs that reflect my clients, the environment and moments as they were. I am starting to enhance some photographs for the proofs and albums. I do a select few that give you a small glimpse into what I envision.

I wanted to share with you today an example. In taking a normal photograph, I can enhance the scenery and mood. These digital enhancements provide unique photographs that I feel will bring my wedding photography to another level. But like any technique, this can be overdone. So I keep them to a minimum.

New! Guest Books

Many couples have a guest book at the cocktail hour or reception for their guests to sign their names. This is a reminder for the couple of who attended their wedding. But honestly, how many couples pick up those books in the future? I think most couples place that book in a place with some other wedding memories and may not view it for quite some time.

I offer new guest books that are personalized with your engagement photographs. These come in two sizes, 8×8 and 9×12. In the 8×8, you would receive about 10-12 pages, with as many photographs from your engagement session. In the 9×12, you would receive about 15-20 pages, with as many photographs from your engagement session. Both include your names on the cover and are availabe in the following linen colors: black, nordic blue, red, silver and chocolate brown. I design these with enough space for your guests to sign. New! Proof Magazines

I typically deliver anywhere from 400-1,000 proofs to my clients. Anything over 500 and I have to put them in two proof boxes. It can be troublesome to carry these all around to show family, friends, co-workers, etc.

This is where my new Proof Magazine comes in. It is a spiral bound 11×14 album, with 20 thumbnails per page and a personalized front page. Each photo has the corresponding name underneath it to help you identify it to your proofs. It is presented beautifully and very easy to carry by hand or in a bag/purse/backpack/etc. Please call for pricing.

This time of year is slower for me with weddings. Therefore, I have more time to develop and expand my business. I have been working on alot of products that I feel my clients will enjoy.

I became tired with how I was presenting my digital negatives to clients who purchased this product. I came across a wonderful company who offers DVD jewel boxes which allow me to design all the visual components (front, back, inside and DVD label). And now I am glad to offer these to my clients. I feel they are a wonderful addition to not only protect the DVD, but to also offer you a great memory of the wedding. Here are a few photos on what they look like! Enjoy!
