I just wanted to share another photograph that I took while in Hungary recently. It is a statue on the Royal Palace in Budapest. I also contributed it to my Alive for 365 project.

Chris & Melissa’s winery wedding – West Park Winery – West Park, New York

I can think of two 3 letter words to describe Chris & Melissa’s wedding day. One would be, and I think no one would disagree, hot! I think the day of their wedding was one of the hottest and most humid day of the summer. But luckily, that did not dampen anyone’s spirit and gives me the 2nd 3 letter word, FUN! Despite the heat and the fact that the entire wedding was outside, it did not slow anyone down in enjoying the day. Everything took place at the beautiful West Park Winery. From the time we arrived to the final fireworks, I was glad to have been at Chris and Melissa’s wedding.

I’ve had a tough time choosing my favorite of the day as I LOVE the photo below in both color and B&W, for different reasons. Which one do you prefer?

I knew from our engagment session that Chris was a huge Pearl Jam fan. But when I heard a Pearl Jam song played by the pianist as the processional was happening, was amazing. So, I used the song the pianist play in the slideshow below! I actually went through the entire Pearl Jam song catalog to find a song for the slideshow. I only came across 2 songs that are good for wedding slideshows. Can you guess the other? I may use it for a wedding coming up this fall.

This week, my contributing photograph was Empty. My wife’s grandfather kept bees where he lived in Hungary (a small village called Edve). The last few years leading up to his death, his bee population kept dwindling and dwindling, until their were none. His bee “house” still stands with all his equipment there. The word ‘ures’ on the bee hives means empty.

Wedding at the Hyatt in Jersey City – Victoria and Chris

Chris and Victoria’s wedding took place at one of the best spots in New Jersey for a perfect view of New York City, along the Hudson River. I started out photographing both of them getting dressed at the beautiful Hyatt in Jersey City, where their wedding day would also finish at. Then we headed up to Hoboken for the ceremony and some romantic portraits.

One of my favorite times to photograph a wedding is the last 1/2 hour of the reception. The stress from a wedding day (looking great, talking to everyone, etc.) are long gone for the bride and groom, as well as everyone else. So everyone really lets loose on the dance floor. At Chris and Victoria’s wedding, there certainly was not shortage of dancing! But I love the below image for the dancing, impromptu kiss and the fact that they are surrounded by the most important people of their life, family and friends. Doesn’t this photograph make you “happy”?

The Chain Bridge and Castle in Budapest, Hungary

One of my goals while visiting Hungary last month was to make some amazing photographs of the architecture and famous landmarks. So I set out one evening to capture the famous Chain Bridge from an angle that allowed for me to get another famous landmark, the Castle, in the background. Here are two of my favorites from my short excursion one summer evening.

It is always humbling to have my work and clients showcased in a magazine. Even more so, it gives me some personal gratification that my photography is among some of the best wedding photography in New Jersey.

When I photographed Jen and Brad’s wedding last August, I knew it was special. A wonderful couple, great location, unique details and great families all blended perfectly together on their wedding day. But what I didn’t know was how interesting the story behind how they met and fell in love was. I’m glad The Knot featured their story and my photographs.

Wedding at The Crystal Plaza – Livingston, New Jersey – Lauren & Jerome

Two weeks ago, I headed out to Livingston foro Lauren and Jerome’s wedding. There was a threat of thunderstorms, but they stayed clear of us. Unfortunately, the humidity did not! But we worked fast to get all the portraits we needed to and enjoy the beautiful Crystal Palace.

A special thanks to Shannon and John, whose wedding I photographed last year, for the referral. I hope to hear exciting news soon about your first child!
